The Sims Uterine Sound is used during gynecological procedures to examine the length of the uterus and to detect whether the uterus is ant everted or retroverted. The instrument has an overall length of 33 cm and has a small handle at one end and a blunt, angle tip at the other. During the procedure, the surgeon gently inserts the Sims Uterine Sound through a predilated cervix until she meets resistance to check the direction of the uterus and the extent. All of our Sims Uterine Sounds are designed with surgical grade stainless steel and can be routinely sterilized for repeat use in gynecological procedures.
